Firm Background

The law firm of Patton & Associates, Attorneys at Law, P.C. was founded by Gary K. Patton on July 10, 1987.  Mr. Patton graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1980 and practiced with John R. Hutcherson as an associate until 1981, when Mr. Hutcherson was appointed to be an Associate Circuit Court Judge in Clay County. Mr. Patton then joined the law firm of Hale, Kincaid, Waters & Allen, P.C. as an associate and eventually became a partner in the firm. In July of 1987, he started his own law firm. The firm was located in the Victory Building on Victory Drive in Liberty, Missouri until 1989. In 1989 the firm moved to the Blue Jay Professional Building, where it remained until 2002. In June of 2002, the firm relocated to Seaport in Liberty, Missouri.

David P. Chamberlain joined the firm in 1989, upon his graduation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City school of law. Mr. Chamberlain eventually became a shareholder in the firm, and the firm name was then changed to Patton & Chamberlain, Attorneys at Law, P.C. In April of 2008, Missouri Govenor, Matt Blunt, appointed Mr. Chamberlain as the Associate Circuit Court Judge of Division 5 of the Clay County Circuit Court. Mr. Chamberlain continues to serve as a Judge in Division 5 of the Clay County Circuit Court.

Jennifer S. Wagner joined the firm in 1998, and, upon her admission to the Missouri Bar in 2000, she became an associate in the firm.

Breahn R. Vokolek joined the firm as an associate in 2008.

Members of the staff include: Andrea L. Shipers, Paralegal, who joined the firm in 2001; Wanda Mustard, receptionist/bookkeeper, who joined the firm in 2006; and Michelle D. Conley, legal secretary who joined the firm in 2007.
